A Course in Miracles and also the Message of The Secret
In the last year, many individuals have approached me asking me about my perspective, and the perspective of acim, around the popular book and movie The Secret. I had been also recently inspired to participate in an expert panel discussion on The Secret as well as the law of attraction at the Body Soul Spirit Expo in Calgary.
As I see it, The Secret offers a few powerful and necessary global messages worth appreciating.
The very first message is that our thoughts possess a powerful relation to our life. The following insight is that we are eligible for a wealthy life, although true wealth is more than just cash and "toys." Instead, it requires feeling fulfilled in most areas of life, including our relationships, career, and health. What we need to do is look within to find out if, in fact, we feel worthy of authentic wealth.
Another message which is subtly conveyed inside the Secret, and one that I believe to be real, is that when we have a heartfelt desire so we say yes to doing our part to manifest the need, synchronicities arise, and dormant forces stand out.
On the flip side, Personally i think the idea that more "toys" in the form of cars, houses, jet planes, and boats can make us happy and you will be the type of our ability to manifest is potentially damaging and crippling for most people who are already "bankrupt" in the areas of self-love and self-appreciation. The issue with this picture is that the desire to have often develops from a feeling of lack instead of a feeling of completeness. And due to this, whatever we gain in about feeling "full," whole, happy, or accomplished, will finally not work, because we feel a void internally.
The truth is that we are not empty, but already full, when we understand and feel this being our new reality, then the outer world begins to "echo" our inner awareness.
A Course in Miracles reminds us that as far as that we can accept and stay truly grateful for the inheritance as being an unbounded, abundant, whole, and unlimited Self, we will attract to ourselves an ideal outward expressions of our claimed inner worth. This reclaiming in our authentic Self will miraculously bring into manifestation any material items which will serve the higher good of both our life and of those around us, and yet we will feel no dependency upon them for your happiness.
So, in order to know and live the Real Secret, find your Authentic Self, reclaim it-and your real inheritance follows.
